For ages, scientists have been trying to figure out what will happen whan the sun dies. And finally, they know!

A team from the Universty of Manchester has found the answer.

As they say the sun being on of the biggest stars on the planet has a limited amount of energy. It will use its power one day.  Scientists all over the world agree that it will happen in 10 billion years and there won’t be any human on earth and it will become uninhabitable eons.

When the red  giant reaches 250 times its current size, it’ll explode leaving interstellar gas and dust which is known as planetary nebula.Scientists say that 90 percent of stars die but they weren’t sure if the sun had that mass to die. But now they are sure sun does.

“When a star dies it ejects a mass of gas and dust – known as its envelope – into space,” Professor Albert Zijslra, from the University of Manchester said. “The envelope can be as much as half the star’s mass. This reveals the star’s core, which by this point in the star’s life is running out of fuel, eventually turning off and before finally dying.”

A data model was created by scientists that showed the life circle of stars which led to the fact that the sun will die in 10 billion years.
