Just days before graduation at Santa Fe High School in Texas, a 17-year-old student opened fire on classmates early in the morning.

Just before 8am, the shooter walked into an art class with a shotgun and began shooting at students. 10 people were killed and another 10 were injured. Explosive devices were discovered around campus after further investigation. A second suspect, an 18-year-old student, believed to be an accomplice, has been detained as well.

This deadly shooting took place in America’s most gun-friendly state, with armed security on campus. Is “more guns” really the answer?

9/11 took place ONCE and flying was changed forever. This has happened HUNDREDS of times and still nothing has changed. Does America care about its children?

Another heartbreaking reminder about this tragedy: These students would be graduating in less than a week. Instead of celebrating, their families will be arranging funerals. These kids should be graduating and preparing for summer vacation, instead they will be going to therapy and attending their classmates funerals.

This is an absolutely heartbreaking and all too common tragedy that needs an end.
